Daily Journal: The good and the not so good! May 8, 2008

OK – seeing as I am back I guess I have no excuses not to be updating my food/exercise journal daily.   So… here goes.

Yesterday:  I was GREAT food wise and average exercise wise.  I am back to having cereal with soya milk for breakfast, had vegemite on toast for lunch (I bought some over with me), had some fruit (mangosteens – yum) and then had sushi for dinner.  I drank lots of green tea and water and I went for a walk (15mins) to the end of the street instead of calling the taxi to the house.   Ok… the walk was pretty lame but I figure its better than nothing.

Today:  I have been GREAT at food so far today (pretty much same as yesterday up to the sushi part).   BUT…. I will be honest and confess that the greatness is about to be totally abolished by the pizza I just ordered with a pepsi to wash down the grease.   My excuse for this loss of greatness is I cant be asked going out for dinner (working to a deadline tonight) and I don’t want toast for dinner.   Poor excuse I know.  But amongst these ramblings I will try and justify the pizza by saying that it was well thought out (Ive been thinking about it all afternoon) and I have weighed the pros and cons.   I even went onto a calorie counter to see what the damage will be, its not pretty but I STILL ordered the pizza!

So dear blogging friends… I am going to enjoy this pizza today, I will consider it a treat and not order another while I am in Thailand.  I will go to the supermarket and buy some real food to tie me over till I go to China.

Oh yeah, exercise today.  I woke up at 5am and thought seriously about it.  Does that count!?!  I also emailed a gym in New Zealand to enquire about their group and one:one personal training sessions.

Hmm… It doesn’t really cut it does it?

Oh well…  I am going to enjoy my day of being a couch potato who eats pizza and tomorrow will be a lot better.  I promise.
