Daily Journal – Day 59 February 28, 2008

I did it!  I went to the gym… I really didn’t think I would, I procrastinated all day but I went. I have broken the ice and gone back to the gym.   The only thing about procrastinating, 8.30pm is the worst time to go – it was packed!  I’ll stick to morning gym sessions from now!

Food:  I’m really missing not living in New Zealand as the food here is so different and well… I just miss the familiarity of the supermarkets at home.    I went to the supermarket today, got:
- cinnamon
- tuna in springwater x2 cans
- bunch of bananas
- lite mayonnaise (to go with the tuna)
- a capsicum
- 4 limes (not sure what to do with them, I was thinking of trying lime with the tuna)
- whole-wheat pasta (I think)

I decided not to stock up my dark chocolate stash as I have stopped craving chocolate and seem to just be eating it because its there.   I’m surprised and pleased with this decision.

Food eaten today:

  • Breakfast – cereal and soya milk
  • Snack – 2 chicken wings
  • Lunch – Banana and more cereal (at this stage I realised I needed to go to the supermarket)
  • Dinner – Tuna sandwich (whole wheat bread, lettuce, mayo, onion and tuna)

I think I am going into a forang food zone!  Oh well… at least when I make my own food I know what goes into it (Thai food is surprisingly greasy).  I think tomorrow I will search the body for life website for some easy healthy recipes.

Diet Coke Free Days – 21 (thats 3 weeks!)

Ah, the penny drops (I think). I thought “forang” was some weird Kiwi phrase, but it’ the Thai version of “foreign” right?

Well done for going to gym and laying off the chocolate! Way to go!

Hooray for talking yourself into going to the gym! That can be soooo hard, if you’re just not feeling it and the procrastination starts.

Congrats on your chocolate and diet coke accomplishments.

Yaay for gym time! And thank for reminding me that I haven’t made a good tuna salad in a long time. (I put apples, celery and a smidgen of sweet pickle in mine)

Hey! That’s fantastic about the gym. Exercize is my biggest stumbling block right now. It’s a mind set thing, and I haven’t found the right one. Yay for you for finding yours!. Have a great week.
